Dear friend of Independent Assemblies,

As you are well aware, the major earthquake that hit Haiti this week has left thousands of people homeless, hungry and hurting. I know that each of you want to be involved in bringing hope and help to this devastated area. Many of our IA ministers have traveled to Haiti on short term trips, while others we know have spent many years there sharing the light of Jesus within a dark society. In 1985, I personally visited Haiti on my first missions trip...One which would launch me on a lifetime of travel in the name of the Lord.

The day after the earthquake, I contacted Rev.Donnie Miller who is scheduled to go to Haiti later this month. When I asked him how we could help, he sprang into action and contacted Rev.Otis Garrison of Mission Of Hope, a missions organization which teaches and feeds thousands of children annually near Port-au-Prince. We have been informed that a shipping container with enough food for 260,000 meals can be purchased and shipped to the earthquake area for $8,500! The MOH people can receive the supplies and see they are properly distributed.

We are asking each of our IA Pastors to receive a cash "Earthquake Relief Offering" this weekend and send it to our Secretary Ken Anderson as soon as possible. If each member receiving this letter could forward it, we can reach even more fellow laborers! Please pray about giving a personal offering, too. Together we can make a difference in this disaster.

Also, please talk to anyone you know who would like to help and tell them of our action plan. Thank you in advance for your help. Every dollar you send will be used to help the people of Haiti who have suffered so much.

Gratefully Redeemed,
Pastor Mickey Keith
